Sammilani Teachers' Training College

The inception of Sammilani Teachers' Training College is interlaced with a promise to serve society, especially an inclusive society. Established in 2005, the institution is amongst the first few self-financed B.Ed. colleges in and around Kolkata.

The college society is registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, XXVI of 1961, bearing Registration No. 61625 of 2009-2010. It also holds 80G Unique Registration No. AAFAS9275BF20226, with approval granted under Clause (IV) of the first proviso to Sub-section (5) of Section 80G.

Initially affiliated with the University of Calcutta and recognised by NCTE and UGC, the college began its journey to prepare efficient teachers through its B.Ed. course. In April 2008, the institution became an approved IGNOU Study Centre, offering B.Ed., M.A. (Education), PGDHE, PGDEMA, PGDSLM, and PGDET programmes.

The institution earned prestigious NAAC accreditation in 2014. Another major accomplishment followed in 2017 with M.Ed. affiliation and the transition of the affiliating university from the University of Calcutta to BSAEU, erstwhile WBUTTEPA.
